Prospective VolunteersDear potential LAUNCH Children's Ministry leader,
We are excited that you want to check out the Children's Ministry at Arvada Covenant Church. There are many opportunities to be a part of the team. Read on and find out more about the ministry. We want to help you find where you can use your skills and talents to invest in children.
You do not have to be an expert. Each member of our LAUNCH team has one thing in common: a love of children and desire to help them know Jesus Christ. If you have come with a heart to love God and a desire to work with children, then you have the two basic ingredients necessary to become a leader in Children's Ministry. You do not need a degree in early childhood development or elementary education to be a great leader.
There are many different opportunities for you to serve within LAUNCH.Whether you enjoy holding babies, telling Bible stories, singing songs, playing guitar, or even assisting in office work, there is a place for you in LAUNCH. We will discuss these different opportunities with you and will work together to find a place where you can use your God-given gifts to invest in the lives of children.
Launch Volunteer Opportunities
It does not take a lot of time. You can successfully minister to children with a minimal time commitment. In two hours each week, you will be able to form relationships with children and their parents that will communicate love and value, not only from you, but also from God.
You will not be alone. You will be supported in your ministry through the LAUNCH staff and leadership team. We plan events throughout the year specifically designed to encourage, equip and energize you for ministry. You will not be a lone ranger in your ministry to children...guaranteed!
Please take few minutes to look over the information here and fill out the contact form so we can talk about the potential for you to be on the team.
Serving with you,
Children's Ministry Director
Here are just a few of the reasons our volunteers love to serve in LAUNCH.
"I feel led to serve in LAUNCH because:"The kids always make me laugh with the amazing things they think of. It is so cool to watch them grow in their faith. I feel blessed to be a part of the Launch team.
Having a secure and loving place for parents to leave their children so they can concentrate on the message each week is so necessary. We've also had lots of laughs over the years quoting some of the kids' comments and situations in each room (2 and 3, year olds)! I believe, at this age, that we are 'planting the seeds' for their future growth in Christianity."
Serving in LAUNCH is so much fun because:"The staff and volunteers are such great people - love the relationships we've built."
I feel led to serve in LAUNCH because:"...quite simply I love kids and love sharing my heart and enthusiasm for the Lord with them. Furthermore, serving in All Stars gives so much back to me mainly joy, fulfillment and fun!"
I think LAUNCH is fun..."Well who doesn't think kids are fun? If you don't think kids are fun you shouldn't be serving in LAUNCH. Not only are the kids fun, but the volunteers are always a blast to be around and with the great LAUNCH staff we never have a dull moment! I believe that it is a special privilege to be able to serve with so many incredible people and to bring God's love and God's stories alive to so many kids each week."
Launch is designed to help kids of all ages understand that God has a larger-than-life plan for them. From the bright colors and murals on the walls to the incredible teachers, Launch is created just for kids. While experiences may vary according to age, the Launch team is committed to showing kids a great time with lots of love. Kids ought to have a space that fits them and be with people that are committed to their success. That's what you'll find in Launch - whether it's our safe and secure nursery or the good times going on downstairs, kids will have a great time in Launch!
We focus on our small groups and our large group environment. We want kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure each child connects with the same friends, same leader, at the same hour - EVERY SUNDAY!
