The biggest obstacle to taking the Great Commandment seriously is TIME. We must create space in our lives to build relationships with those who live near us. Our text speaks of a time when Jesus was on his way to heal a little girl (someone who's need was urgent), yet He accommodated a woman along the way who also needed healing. Are we living life at a pace that allows for interruptions.

God has placed us in our neighborhoods for a reason. Often when we try to love everyone we wind up loving no one. We may not be able to love the entire world, but perhaps we can begin by trying to love our immediate neighbors in Christ. And it may help us in that journey to know the Lord has already gone ahead of us in that venture!
