Baptisms and Confirmation

Baptisms and Confirmation

On Sunday, January 11, our church celebrated baptisms, reaffirmations, and confirmations. These meaningful moments remind us of God’s presence and calling throughout every stage of life.

In the Evangelical Covenant Church, baptism is a sacrament that publicly declares a person’s trust in Jesus. Whether celebrated as an infant or in response to a personal decision of faith, baptism points to our identification with Christ’s death and resurrection and our belonging within the community of faith.

We rejoiced with Sam Epke, Eadee Dolezal, Liam Freer, Brandon Hohnstein, Wyatt Morgenstern, and Henry Peters in their baptisms. We also celebrated Traci Chambers and Kathie Johnson as they reaffirmed their baptisms and renewed their commitment to follow Jesus.

In addition, we confirmed four students: Sam Epke, Wyatt Morgenstern, Isaac Parr, and Henry Peters. At Arvada Covenant Church, confirmation is a formative journey that helps students explore Scripture, understand the story of faith, and make a personal commitment to follow Jesus. At the conclusion of the process, students are invited to publicly express their faith within the church community, and those who have not yet been baptized are invited to do so.

We give thanks for these steps of faith and pray that each person continues to grow in Christ, supported and encouraged by our church family.
