Historically, Arvada Covenant Church has hosted two semi-annual meetings: a January meeting for elections, and a June meeting for budget presentation. In the past, staff reports were presented at the January meeting. The staff has asked to change this timing in order to coincide with our fiscal year-end in June.
We do not have anything to vote on for election this January and we held a special meeting several months ago to update the congregation on our financial situation. We will also need to hold other special meetings in the coming months for the election of a Pastoral search committee, a possible land sale vote, and a vote on new members.
Due to all of this, Council has decided to postpone our usual January meeting until we need to meet for the above votes.
