For the Renewal of the World: A Mission Dinner Experience

On Saturday evening, the ACC community gathered for For the Renewal of the World: A Local and Global Mission Experience, an evening centered on the ways God is at work in our community and around the world.
Throughout the evening, we heard stories from people serving in a variety of places and ministries, including Sam and Juniper Appl with Casa Hogar, missionaries from the Middle East/North Africa, Nancy Timpert-Semple and John Campbell with Safe Parking, and Karen Allen with BeyondHome. Their stories gave us a glimpse of what renewal can look like through relationships, service, perseverance, and partnership.
The evening concluded with missionary and author Fabio Muniz and Asbury University professor and author Jay Moon exploring what it means to share the love of Jesus in a changing world. Their conversation with Pastor Brian emphasized relationships, listening, understanding the person in front of us, and communicating the gospel in ways that connect with people’s experiences and questions.
Most importantly, the evening reminded us that God’s work of renewal isn’t simply happening somewhere else through someone else. Each of us is invited to notice where God is already at work and consider how we might participate.
Thank you to everyone who shared their stories, helped make the evening possible, and joined us. We hope you left encouraged, inspired, and ready to take your own next step.
