Palm Sunday 2026

Palm Sunday was a morning full of energy, expectation, and celebration. As we wrapped up our 40 Days of Decrease series, we stepped into the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and asked a simple but important question: what are we expecting from Jesus?
The crowds that lined the streets that day had expectations. They were looking for a king, a rescuer, someone who would meet their immediate needs. The disciples had expectations, too, as did the Pharisees. And as we reflected together, we were invited to find ourselves in the story and consider where our own expectations might miss who Jesus truly is. Watch the service recording here.
Palm Sunday reminds us that Jesus often shows up in ways we do not anticipate. Not always with power as we define it, but with humility, purpose, and a kingdom that looks different than we expect.
After worship, we continued the celebration together at our Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast. Kids jumped in bounce houses, families and friends gathered around tables, and a few rounds of Palm Sunday Bingo with prizes brought the fun. Thanks to all who attended! We look forward to seeing you at Arvada Covenant Church throughout the week at our Holy Week events and on Easter Sunday.
