We need hosts for our Summer Dinners. It’s a great opportunity to use your hospitality gifts to help facilitate the church getting to know one another.

Here’s the scoop about the event itself:

Who: Anyone attending ACC

What: Summer Dinners, a shared meal

When: June 5, July 10 and August 14, 2026

Where: Individual homes

Time: 6-8 p.m.

Why: Fellowship and connection with others at ACC

Host responsibilities: We need 15-20 hosts who:

  • Have a table to seat at least 8.
  • Are willing to plan and provide a meal for your guests.
  • Host 1, 2 or all 3 dates. You will have a different group each month so feel free to repeat the same menu each time.
  • Communicate with guests prior to event for any dietary restrictions and to provide your address and any other pertinent information.

SUMMER DINNERS

AT THE TABLE HOST FAQS

You can be either inside or outside but we would like to have everyone (including kids) sitting at the same table. Card tables pushed together in the backyard work just fine!

Costco has lasagna or there is always pizza!

Absolutely!

The staff will place the groups. This allows everyone to get to know people they may not normally come in contact with on their own.

Let us know that and we will try to place folks appropriately.

Let us know as some people have allergies or kids that aren’t comfortable around pets.

Consider hosting outside or keeping pets out of the shared space the guests will be in for these 2 hours.

The menu is totally up to you. You can have a “Bring your own meat” cookout and provide the sides, or vice versa. How about a salad bar, pasta, make your own pizza, taco bar, or your specialty signature dish? The sky is the limit! ACC does have grocery gift cards available to help subsidize your food, if that is a concern. Just ask.
