Good Friday 2026

There are some nights that are meant to be felt more than explained.
Our Intergenerational Good Friday Service was one of those nights.
From the opening moments, we stepped into the story together. Through scripture, music, and guided reflection, we walked the path from betrayal to trial, from the cross to the silence of death. Student readers helped lead us through each movement of the story.
One of the most powerful moments came when each person was invited to come forward, take a nail, and drop it into a metal container. One by one, the sound echoed through the room. Sharp. Uncomfortable. Unforgettable.
It was a simple act, but it grounded the truth in a tangible way: this was not abstract. The cross was real. The sacrifice was real. Love held Him there.
As the service came to a close, the Christ candle was extinguished, and the room fell into stillness. No applause. No rush. Just quiet.
Good Friday leaves us there, in the tension. In the darkness. In the waiting.
But we do not wait without hope.
Sunday is coming.
